The art class is taught in all grades of high school up to the first grade. In the 2nd and 3rd grade only Free and Architectural Drawing is taught as an elective.
In addition to art history, students in the art lab learn how to paint, draw, make reliefs, prints, decorative art, graffiti, mosaics, and pseudo-vignettes. In addition, the students build theatre props for the needs of the school’s theatre performances, and in the past they have also been involved in the recycling process in collaboration with our school’s recycling team. Many of the constructions and works produced for school events are kept in the visual arts laboratory and in an underground storage area of the M.S.Th. building. In 2006 and 2007 students of the visual arts laboratory won prizes in the Panhellenic Student Artistic Games of the Ministry of Education.
