The School Laboratory of Computer Science and Computer Applications (S.E.P.E.E.Y.) of our school was created by the operational programme “Information Society” – Computer equipment of school units, implemented by the then Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs. It was opened for the first time in March 2002.
It is a spacious room, equipped with a video projector and a set of computers on a LTSP-Ubuntu network. Free and/or open source software is used.
The lab is used for:
- high school and junior high school Computer Science lessons
- research projects of high school students
- music technology lessons
- teaching of colleagues using ICT training
- experiential workshops.
The head of the lab since the school year 2002-2003 until 2020 was the Computer Science teacher Anastasia Penoglou. Since June 2014 our lab is included in the global map of LTSP labs. See the news, proposals and activities of the IT lab on the blog:
