European percussion ensemble

16 September 2018

The European Percussion and Free Expression Ensemble consists of 5 to 8 high school students. The purpose of the class is for students to create their own melodic and rhythmic patterns that they process themselves using percussion instruments and other objects that produce sounds…without sheet music!

Participated in many events and collaborated with other ensembles in the school. Indicatively: the event dedicated to the composer Nikolaos Astrinidis (2008), the collaboration with the tango-rebetiko ensemble in the performance “Musical immigrants-from rebetiko to tango” (2011) and with the ensemble “Music of the World” for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014.

Music teacher: Antonios Yaroutzidis
