In a Ceremony Hall of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki filled with energy and vision, the joint information event of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki took place on Tuesday, 27 January 2026.
The event was held within the framework of the innovative programme “Discovering the Future at Aristotle University”, an initiative that aims to bring students into direct contact with Aristotle University, the world of science, research, and academic life. Representatives of the academic and educational leadership participated in the programme presentation. In addition, school principals and student representatives contributed their perspectives from everyday educational practice, highlighting the importance of connecting schools with higher education.
The event began in the most atmospheric way, as the Symphony Orchestra of the Music School of Thessaloniki provided the musical framework for the meeting. The talented students performed a moving medley from the iconic Cinema Paradiso. The musical pieces constituted an ode to learning, coming of age, and dreams—an ideal artistic introduction to an initiative that seeks to inspire young people about their own future.
The presence of the orchestra was not merely a musical accompaniment, but a living testament to the work carried out at the Music School of Thessaloniki, which serves as a cultural incubator for the city while preparing future citizens and scientists. The students’ discipline, coordination, and virtuosity impressed the audience, earning warm applause.
The event concluded with the conviction that “The Future at Aristotle” is not merely a title, but an open invitation to knowledge, which the Music School of Thessaloniki “dressed” in its most optimistic notes, demonstrating the high level of music education in public schooling.
