On Thursday, 18 December 2025, at 18:00, students of the Traditional Music Ensemble of the Music School of Thessaloniki, under the guidance of teachers V. Argyriou and M. Liontou-Mohamed, participated in a Christmas event dedicated to the 120 elderly residents of the Chariseio Nursing Home.
The event began with Christmas carols from all over Greece, sung by the students of our school accompanied by traditional musical instruments. The Traditional Music Ensemble was warmly applauded by the audience, who at many moments clapped along and sang with the children.
The magic of music and the spirit of Christmas created a diverse, intergenerational gathering which, through traditional music, embarked on a journey of solidarity, love, and hope, forging bonds between generations. After all, Christmas signifies humanity and giving—not only to our loved ones, but also to others.
“Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.”
