On Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at 10:00, the Symphony Orchestra and the Traditional Music Ensemble of the Music School of Thessaloniki once again participated in the 5th Christmas Concert organized by the 2nd and 3rd Primary Schools of Eleftherio–Kordelio.
This meeting of Primary and Secondary Education, which after five years is becoming an established institution, took place in a festive atmosphere and symbolized cooperation, outreach, and harmonious coexistence across all levels of education.
The Christmas Concert was first held in 2019 at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Music School of Thessaloniki as guest of honor. This year, in addition to the Symphony Orchestra, the Traditional Music Orchestra and the traditional choir of the school participated, presenting Christmas carols from all over Greece at the “Mikis Theodorakis” Multi-Functional Theatre in Eleftherio–Kordelio. Admission was free (with an optional donation of food for the Municipal Social Grocery).
In a festive atmosphere, students, teachers, parents, and the wider public shared a unique musical experience combined with an act of solidarity and social contribution, creating a symbolic musical prayer for love, peace, cooperation, and hope.
This important event, in harmony with the spirit of the season, once again united three schools from opposite ends of the city through close collaboration.
