On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., the President of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP), Mr. Spyridon Doukakis, is scheduled to visit the premises of the Thessaloniki Music School (T.M.S.). The visit is part of the preparations for the introduction of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in public schools.
The meeting is purely informational in nature and is addressed to the members of the Teachers’ Association. The President of the Institute of Educational Policy will present the operational framework of the IB programme, as well as current developments concerning the certification process of candidate school units.
The main part of the meeting will be dedicated to questions from the teaching staff. The aim is to provide clarifications on technical and organizational matters, such as:
- The teaching methodology and academic requirements of the programme.
- The role of teachers and their certification procedures.
- The coordination of the IB programme with the existing curriculum of the Thessaloniki Music School.
The meeting will also be attended by the Regional Director of Education for Central Macedonia and the Director of Secondary Education of Eastern Thessaloniki, Ms. Zoe Vazoura.
