Musical virtuosity, discipline and passion for creation found their ultimate expression on Saturday, February 14, 2026, when the Symphony Orchestra Ensemble of the Thessaloniki Music School won 3rd Prize at the Panhellenic Student Arts Games.
The Arts Games, organized by the E. Mandoulides Schools, have become a major institution for Gymnasium and Lyceum students from Greece and the Greek diaspora. The Thessaloniki Music School maintains a consistent and dynamic presence, building a tradition of continuous distinctions.
Under the guidance of conductor Asterios Moschogiannis and teachers Konstantina Spyropoulou and Ioanna Tasioula, the students tackled a demanding and original repertoire that exceeded typical student standards. Beyond the award itself, participation in a symphony orchestra offers adolescents a formative experience, teaching discipline, coordination, solidarity and collaboration—values essential both in music and in life.
